The impact of Scala in Qamine

We provide a summary of the impact of the Scala programming language in the development of Qamine. We give positive and negative side to having selected Scala as our main language. We focus, however, not so much in the language but more on its selection consequences. Overall we are really happy with Scala and hope to have our negative issues resolved.

V8 is Google's open source JavaScript engine. It is used in Google Chrome, the most used browser today. V8 was intended to be fast, performant and was written in C++.

Three specific situations are described where a tool like Qamine could be useful.
